Environmental

DECO prides itself in going the extra mile looking for and identifying potential exposures for all team members involved. The team consists of employees, partners, owners, their representatives, and most importantly the public. We implement all applicable laws that govern and create guidelines for each job. Some of these regulatory agencies include EPA, OSHA, EM385, and MSHA.

Material Recovery and Recycling

Reducing Waste and Saving Money

DECO utilizes all possible sources that are available to sell or donate recycled materials from a project to promote recycling and divert debris from the landfill. Every effort we put towards recycling can be documented for potential tax credits and LEED documentation. We go above and beyond to help offset costs associated with demolition projects for the owners while remaining environmentally friendly through material recovery and recycling.

Asbestos Abatement

Safe Removal of Asbestos

When Asbestos is present, we plan and safely remove all materials while adhering to and applying higher standards than most regulatory agencies. Although the government banned the manufacturing of asbestos in the U.S. during the late 1970s, it continues to be imported and used in many building projects.

Other Potentially Harmful Materials

Examples of other potentially harmful materials associated with our projects are listed below. We have extensive experience removing these harmful materials, but we are not limited to this list.

  • Lead building components
  • PCBs
  • Oils and hydraulic fluids
  • Fuels
  • Tanks
  • Freon and coolants
  • Contaminated soil
  • Wastewater
  • And more
